Through the operation of these units, Patras Science Park accommodates and supports newly established enterprises, which utilize innovative technologies and know-how.
The Business Incubator is the most significant unit within the organizational structure of Patras Science Park. It is an important mechanism that PSP operates in order to accommodate and support newly established enterprises in their initial steps to achieve:
* The exploitation of scientific research / technological development results.
* The creation and completion / perfection of an innovative product or service.
* Commercial exploitation of this innovative product or service.
This unit functions as a starting point for innovative enterprises, providing temporary establishment and initial operation facilities. The infrastructure of the unit provides the newly created enterprises with assisting services and facilities that fit their needs helping them to grow up. Entrepreneurial schemes incorporated in the Business Incubator unit should have already accomplished their preliminary establishment stage (inside or outside the Park), and should possess an innovative idea or product.
