Actions for the local area SMEs (1994-2001)

• As a member of a Greek consortium under KOE-OPA, PSP has implemented in its area PROSEGISIS, a project (of the INNOVATION programme) which included 18 technology audits- analyses of local enterprises.
• PSP has created two new such tools which are currently standardized to provide the relevant services.
• PSP functions a one stop-shop utility on technical services and relevant providers" which includes:
  • Information Unit for the Greek Standards Organization (ELOT ): Standards and Services for Certification and Quality Assurance.
  • Information Unit to provide direct access to the services of all ETEVA sectoral technology companies .
• Ιnfo point Εurope to inform the citizens for subjects of European community.
• Web site of the PSP, which provides information on issues of innovation, enterprise activity and access to services, partners and organizations. Information about current issues, including events, calls of interest and new services.

• PSP has created and operated in co-operation with authorities of the Western Greece region the General Secretariat and an information service aiming to enhance participation of the local enterprises, and organization in EU projects. A relevant home page is also available.

Projects to promote co-operation with the University of Patras and the Technical Educational Institute (1999-2001)

• Medical Chemistry Department: Project "Peptide Mimics". Preparation and support of a business exploitation plan of modern pharmaceuticals.
• Economics Dept: Project for the creation of a methodological tool for the analysis of the entrepreneurial investment behaviour in the food sector.

The ERNEST “European Research Network on Sustainable Tourism” project will address the issue of sustainable development in tourism through coordination and collaboration among regional research programmes, implemented in the cooperating regions of EU. ERNEST will be a horizontal ERA NET action (European Research Area – Network) and is financed by 7th Framework Programme (FP7).

It is an Interregional project ((Interreg IVC) aiming at making exchanges of good practices in order to be developed innovative regional policies towards the development of SMEs

The main objective is to promote entrepreneurship and enhance of  the technology transfer and exploitation of innovation in SMEs. The project seeks to inform and activate the authorities of the Region of Western Greece
 

Implemented within the framework of SOUTH EAST EUROPE Transnational Cooperation Programme (SEE Programme) the project ECOPORT 8 is aimed at guaranteeing healthy eco-competition among SEE ports and avoiding environmental damage by using shared rules, common safeguarding and monitoring policies and by creating an eco-ports network.
